Nick O’Flannigan is a photographer now, working freelance for Travel USA magazine. But that wasn’t always his dream. A redhead, standing six foot six, Nick looked like a basketball player, not a macro photography expert and amateur sleuth. But he walks with a slight limp sometimes, one that gets worse when he’s tired or the weather changes. There’s a reason for that.

Originally a basketball star at Boston College with a major in accounting as his backup plan, scouts hounded Nick about his future: a future in the NBA. His girlfriend Susie, one of the cheerleaders, anticipated an adventurous life on the arm of a virtual celebrity.

But in a game against Georgia tech, something happens. Something that will change Nick’s life forever.

Did you ever wonder about the basketball story that led Nick to change his career? How did it happen? Finally, the story, Fast Break, is here. And here is the even better news: for email subscribers, it will be FREE. That’s right. FREE!

If you’re already a subscriber, watch your email inbox. The story will be coming soon. If you’re not, subscribe today! What are you waiting for?
